Uniquely Amazing Sabah Cultures


Sabah is one of the richest states in local culture especially when recorded that Sabah has 32 ethnic tribes. To travel and learn a different culture that has been founded in Sabah, there are some places that should be your visit.


1) Monsopiad Cultural Village


Monsopiad Cultural Vilage 

Located in the Penampang area and time-consuming in 30 minutes from Kota Kinabalu, Monsopiad Cultural Village opened on 1 May 1996 to commemorate the Kadazan warrior prowess and Monsopiad head hunters. The traditional village is a histrorical site built on occupied land and a place of Monsopiad wandered past three centuries ago.



2) Tamu Besar Kota Belud

Tamu Besar Kota Belud

Living in one of the tourist spots located in the district of Kota Belud cowboy town. Open on Sundays every weekend to sell a variety of creative handycraft item by the Sabahan and presenting activities of cavalry and became symbolic of the people in Kota Belud.



3) Kampong Rungus Kudat

Kampung Rungus Kudat

Rungus omission which is located in Kg. Bavanggazo in Kudat district, is one of the longhouses in Sabah feature the community life of Rungus tribes by living under one roof with a wide variety of food, music and daily practise you can feel their directly.




4) Mari-Mari Cultural Village

Mari-Mari Cultural Village

Located in the Inanam district, Mari-Mari is cultural village featuring all ethnic tribes of Sabah. Various traditional house that represented each ethnic and mostly built of bamboo and nipah roofs. You will also be travelling to learn about the customs, ways of cooking and music perfomances.
